The Universal Screw by GT‑Medical has been developed as a versatile and efficient solution for screw-retained restorations, especially when working with less common implant platforms, legacy systems, or multiple brands that share compatible connection geometries.
Unlike brand-specific screws, this screw follows a proprietary, streamlined design intended to function across a wide range of prosthetic interfaces. Its universal profile ensures reliable performance in many clinical scenarios without requiring an exact replica of each original screw geometry.
Manufactured from premium Grade 5 Titanium—sourced from the same supplier trusted by the world’s leading implant manufacturers—this screw offers outstanding mechanical strength, biocompatibility, and long-term durability.
Thanks to its universal concept, GT‑Medical can offer compatible prosthetic solutions even for rarely commercialized implants, reducing the need to produce or stock one screw per brand. A single clinically validated design provides coverage across a wide array of platforms, simplifying inventory for both clinics and labs.
AVAILABLE SCREW TYPES:
1. Straight-channel screw
Designed for conventional restorations with direct access to the screw channel. It features a simple, functional geometry based on mechanical criteria that ensure a secure and reliable fit across various compatible abutments.
Used in GT‑Medical’s Universal Series abutments, this screw provides a practical, safe, and cost-effective solution in cases where original manufacturer screws are unavailable or impractical.
2. Angulated-channel screw (Dinalock® version)
Specially developed for restorations requiring screw channel deviation—whether for aesthetic optimization or implant divergence correction—this angulated version extends the flexibility of the universal screw system.
- DLC coating (Diamond-Like Carbon): enhances wear resistance and reduces friction during insertion and tightening.
- Safe angulation up to 25°, allowing torque delivery up to 35 Ncm without compromising structural integrity.
- Designed for intraoral delivery, unlike many angulated screws that are not intended for direct placement in the mouth.
- Exclusively compatible with GT‑Medical abutments and CAD/CAM libraries, where performance has been validated via rotation path studies—ensuring the screw can rotate freely within the channel and that the angulated driver can engage the screw head properly.
This screw must be used with the GT‑Medical Dinalock® driver, which features a 4-lobe interface for superior torsional resistance and precise torque transfer in challenging access scenarios.
